Rapid Eye™
Multi-Media DSP v8 provides new enhancements to the legendary Rapid Eye Series
of 16-channel digital video recorders. The REMM DSP v8 features real-time
recording, live local viewing, and comprehensive local user interface running on
the DVR. This intuitive mouse driven interface allows users or administrators to
perform a variety of configuration and monitoring tasks without the need of an
additional remote access computer. The new DVD-RW drive is a standard feature
that lets users export clips that are five to seven times the length of the
clips exported with previous Rapid Eye
products or competitors’ DVRs equipped with CD-RW. The keyboard with USB
ports conveniently connects the unit with a mouse and USB storage.
The system consists of three
major components:

Benefits of the system include
crisp live video images, high recording rates and images, event-driven
accelerated response recording and increased internal storage capacity up to 3
TB. Other features include deluxe PTZ control - both locally and remotely - and
remote PTZ configuration. Hardware capability includes eight user definable
RS232/RS422/RS845 serial ports which allow direct connection of PTZ telemetry
wiring to the unit without the need for separate hardware devices and support of
up to 16 data streams. The hierarchical site tree allows users to define
grouping of sites and supports multiple levels of nesting within a site branch.
Rapid Clip makes remote clip generation fast and easy.
The combination of fully featured
LocalView, ADMIN and VIEW software, combined with the DSP-powered DVR running on
modern Linux OS, as well as seamless integration to other products (including a
long list of central monitoring station software) truly differentiates the Rapid
Eye system.
